Vacancy Details for Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University Recruitment.
1. For the Post of Dean.
i. The Post holds a term of 4 years.
ii. 12 years’ experience in teaching/research/extension out of which 5 years must be as Professor or equivalent.
iii. One should be able to organize & supervise the work of others.
iv. One should have contributions to teaching/ research and scholarship as evidences by teaching innovations/ quality of papers published in professional journals of teaching innovations.
v. The applicant requires to hold 10th level certificate of Punjabi language.

2. For the Post of Clerk.
i. One should have at least 120 hours course with hands on experience in use of personal computer to ‘IT in office Productivity Application’ or ‘Desktop Publishing Applications’ from a govt recognized institution.
ii. One should have knowledge of Punjabi up to 10th standard.
iii. Typing speed of 30 words per minute in Punjabi & English each.
iv. Shorthand speed of 50 w.p.m. in English to be transcribed at a speed of 10 w.p.m. within six months from the date of their joining.

3. For the Post of Veterinary Officer.
i. The candidate should have passed Punjabi at Matric level.
ii. One would impart training to students of Diploma in Veterinary Science & Animal Health Technology.
iii. One would be assisting research & extension activities of RRTC, Kaljharani.
iv. Any duty will be assigned from time to time.

4. For the Post of Assistant Professor.
i. The applicant requires to hold 10th level certificate of Punjabi language.
ii. The Job will include teaching and research job.
iii. Any duty can be assigned from time to time.

Education Required.
1. For the Post of Dean.
i. Ph.D. in any Branch of Veterinary Science/Animal Science/Fisheries.

2. For the Post of Clerk.
ii. The candidate should be a graduate from any recognized university.

3. For the Post of Veterinary Officer.
iii. The Post requires to have M.V.Sc. in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology/Veterinary Medicine/ Veterinary Gynaecology & Obstetrics /Animal Nutrition/Animal Genetics & Breeding/Livestock Production Management/ Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension Education.

4. For the Post of Assistant Professor.
iv. The candidate should have B.V.Sc/ B.V.Sc. & A.H. at least with second division.
v. The candidate should hold Master’s degree in Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension/ Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension Education/ Livestock Production & Management/ Animal Breeding/ Animal Breeding & Genetics/ Animal Nutrition/ Animal Reproduction/ Veterinary Gynaecology & Obstetrics/ Veterinary Medicine/ Epidemiology & Preventive Veterinary Medicine/ Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology with minimum 65% marks.

5.  For the Post of Mali/ Gardner.
i. The candidate should have passed 12th standard in any stream and Gardner Training Course (of at least six months duration) from a recognized College/Institution/University.
ii. One must have passed Punjabi up to Matric level.
iii. At least five years’ experience in the work of Gardner/Mali from a Govt. institution.

Age Limit.
1. The age limit for the Post of Dean, Assistant Professor, Veterinary Officer is 18 Years to 37 years.
2. The Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

1. The application fee for the Post of Dean, Assistant Professor, Veterinary Officer is Rs. 1500/-.
2. The application fee for the Post of Clerk is Rs. 1000/-

1. The salary package for the Post of Dean is Rs. 37400-67000/- plus GP of Rs. 1000/-.
2.  The salary package for the Post of Assistant Professor is Rs. 15600-39100/- plus Grade Pay of Rs.6000/-.
3. The salary package for the Post of Veterinary Officer Rs. 15600-39100/- plus Grade pay of Rs.5400/-.
4. The salary package for the Post of Clerk is Rs. 10300-34800/- plus Grade pay of Rs.3200/-.
5. The salary package for the Post of Skilled Support Staff is Rs. 5200-20200+ Rs.1800 G.P.
6. The salary package for the Post of Mali/Gardner is Rs. 4900-10680/– plus Grade pay of Rs. 1650/-.
