About India Post:
India Post is India’s government-run postal system, part of the Ministry of Communications’ Department of Post. It is the world’s most widely distributed postal system, commonly known as the Post Office. In 1766, Warren Hastings took the initiative under the East India Company to establish the country’s first postal service. It began as “Company Mail.” Lord Dalhousie later changed it into a Crown service in 1854. Dalhousie established uniform postage rates (universal service) and aided in the passage of the India Post Office Act 1854, which significantly improved on the 1837 Post Office Act, which established regular post offices in India. It established the position of Director General of Post for the entire country.
Qualifications in Education:
Candidates who wish to work for the Indian Postal Service must have completed the 10th/12th grade or a graduate degree from a recognised Board/Institute/University/School/College.
Procedure for Selection:
