The age limit of the candidates for the posts of PGT, TGT, PRT, Music Teacher, Lab Assistant & Physical Training Instructor should be between 18 to 48 years while for the Librarian jobs candidates should be between 18 to 33 years.
Application Fees 2025 :
Examination fee is Rs.500 for UR/EWS & OBC. The candidates have to make payment in online mode. Rs. 250/- examination fee will be charged for SC / ST / PWD / Ex-servicemen candidates.

Vacancy of Railway Teaching 2025: Selection Process
The selection process involves a computer-based test, interview, and medical examination. Based on the computer-based test score, candidates will be shortlisted for the personal interview round.
1. Computer Based Tests (CBT) – The test is online format and consist of 100 multiple – choice question carrying 1 mark. Candidate will have 90 minutes exam with negative marking of 1/3 for each incorrect answer. Subject include Professional Ability, General Awareness, Reasoning, Mathematics & General Science.
2. Interview – Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
3. Skill Test – The Performance Test (PT) and Teaching Skill Test (TST) are components of the recruitment process under the Railway Teacher 2025 Notification. For PGT, TGT, PTI, and PRT roles, the selection is based on a Written Test (85%) and Teaching Skill Test (15%). For Music, Craft, and Drawing Teachers, the weightage is divided as Written Test (60%), Performance Test (25%), and Skill Test (15%). The Teaching Skill Test assesses teaching ability, methodology, communication skills, and subject expertise through a PowerPoint presentation. The Performance Test evaluates artistic, creative, and presentation skills for specialized subjects like music and art. Both tests are critical, contributing significantly to the overall assessment.
4. Document Verification – Candidates qualifying for earlier stages must go through the document verification.
5. Medical Test – After Document verification candidates will go for a Medical Examination to ensure mental & physical fitness for the teaching posts.
