SSC Recruitment 2018 | SI, Asst. SI & CAPFs Jobs

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced for an examination for the recruitment of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police & Central Armed Forces (CAPF) & Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF at different location across the country. The recruitment shall be done on the basis of Written Examination (Paper 1 and Paper 2), PET, PST and Medical Test. Only those candidates, who qualify paper-1 exam, will be eligible to appear for PET, PST and Medical Test and then who clear the PET, PST and Medical Test will be allowed to appear in Paper-2 exam.  The eligible candidates can apply before the last date i.e. 2nd April 2018. SSC 2018 Total Vacancies.
The below vacancies are tentative and may change in future. Candidates can check commission official website www.ssc.nic.in. for any update.
1. Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police (Male) :  Total 97 vacancies.
2. Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police (Female) : 53 vacancies.
3. Sub-Inspector in CAPFs (Male) : 1035 vacancies.
4. Sub-Inspector in CAPFs (Female) : 38 vacancies

SSC 2018 Sub Inspector Job Eligibility.
1. Education Qualification.
i. For All Posts: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university or equivalent.
ii. For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police only: Male candidate must have a valid driving license for LMV (Motorcycle and Car).

Note: if candidates do not have a Valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) then such candidates are eligible for all other posts in CAPFs.

2. Age Limit for SSC Post 2018.
A. For general candidates.
Age limit is minimum 20 years and maximum 25 years (candidates born not before 2nd August, 1993 and not later than 1st August 1998)
i. For SC and ST category the Age relaxation is 5 years in upper age limit.
ii. For OBC category candidates it is 3 years relaxations in upper age limit.
iii. Ex-servicemen is 3 years after deducting military service.
iv. Central government civilian employees who worked more than 3 years relaxation is 5 years.

B. Age Limit for SSC 2018 Group B posts.
i. Central Government Civilian Employees : 5 years Relaxations.
ii. Central Government Civilian Employees (SC/ ST) : 10 (5+5) years.

C. Age Limit for SSC SI 2018 ASI Post.
i. Central Govt. Civilian Employees : Up to 40 years of age.
ii. Central Govt. Civilian Employees (SC/ ST) : Up to 45 years of age.
iii. Domicile of State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989 : 5 years.

D. Age Limit For SSC 2018 Group C Posts.
i. Widows, Divorced women, judicially separated & not remarried : up to 35 years of age.
ii. Widows/ Divorced Women/ Women judicially separated and who are not remarried (SC/ ST ) : Up to 40 years of age.

E. Age Limit for Departmental Candidates for vacancies in Delhi Police only.
i. Departmental Candidates (Unreserved) : Up to 30 years of age.
ii. Departmental Candidates (OBC) : Up to 33 years of age.
iii. Departmental Candidates (SC/ ST) : Up to 35 years of age.

3. Nationality.
i. A candidate must be either a citizen of India, or Nepal, or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India. OR
ii. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Malawi, Zambia, Zaire, Vietnam, and Ethiopia with the intention of permanently settling in India.

SSC SI 2018 Application Fee.
The application fee for all the Post is Rs. 100/- and can be paid through SBI Challan/ SBI net banking or by using Visa/ Master card/ Maestro credit/ Debit card.

Salary Package.
i. The salary for Group “C” Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police is Rs.35,400/- to Rs. 1,12,400/-.
ii. The salary for Group “B” Sub-Inspector in CAPFs is Rs.35,400/- to Rs. 1,12,400/-.
iii. The salary for Group “C” Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF is Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300/-.

How to Apply for Jobs 2018.
SSC 2018 Application Process consist of the following steps. All the eligible and interested candidates must read the instructions carefully before registration process and filling the SSC SI recruitment 2018 posts.  The detailed SSC 2008 application process is given below.

i. Open the official website www.ssconline.nic.in.
ii. Now click on “Click here to apply” link.
iii. Fill the online registration form.
iv. Fill all the mandatory fields in application form.
v. Submit the application form.
vi. After submitted the form Registration ID and Password will be generated.
vii. Note down this registration id and password.
viii. Now upload your photograph and signature.
ix. After all the above steps upload photograph (file size 4 KB and less than 20 KB).
x. Upload signature (file size 1 KB and less than 12 KB).
xi. Now pay the application fee through SBI Challan/ SBI Net Banking or by using Visa/ MasterCard/ Maestro Credit/ Debit cards.
xii. Now your application form is completed & take the print out of filled application form.

SSC SI 2018 Exam pattern.
SSC SI 2018 exam will consist of 2 papers (paper 1 and paper 2), Physical Standard Test (PST) / Physical Endurance Test (PET), and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Duration of paper 1 and paper 2 will 2 hours each. Question paper will consist objective type questions and each question will carry 1 mark. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in paper 1 and paper 2. For details of exam pattern see the below table.

SSC 2018 Selection Process.
i. Candidates will be shortlisted for PET/ PST examination on the basis of the performance in paper 1.
ii. Only those candidates who qualified in PET/ PST Examination will be allowed to appear in Paper 2 Examination.
iii. PET/ PST are mandatory but qualifying in nature. Ex-Servicemen are not required to undergo PET.
iv. Candidates will be shortlisted for appearing in Medical Examination on the basis of their performance in Paper- 1 + Paper- 2.
v. Successful candidates will be called for detailed Document Verification after the Medical Examination.
vi. All shortlisted candidates are required to come for Document Verification. Those failing to do so will not be considered for final selection. Candidates are required to submit all documents in original for verification at the time of Document Verification.
vii. Final selection will be made on the basis of aggregate marks scored by candidates in Paper 1 and Paper 2. Allocation of candidates to various User Departments/ Forces will be made based on their merit position and the preference of posts exercised by them at the time of Document.

Important Dates for Vacancies 2018.
