The notification of these recruitment was released recently and online applications for these posts have started.  Youth of 21 to 30 years who have an engineering degree in the relevant field can apply online for these posts and join the recruitment process. The pre examination of this recruitment will be held on 18 July 2021. The candidates who pass in it will be called for the Mains examination.

Eligibility Criteria :-

(i). Educational Qualification required for UPSC ESE Recruitment 2021 :

Candidates applying for these positions should have a Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering degree.  Related candidates can apply for these posts.  Talking about the age limit, the minimum age of the candidates has been fixed at 21 years and the maximum age is 30 years.  The age limit will be calculated from 1 January 2021.  The reserved category candidates will get relaxation in age limit as per rules.

(ii). Age Limit required for UPSC ESE Recruitment 2021 :   

Applying Candidates should be aged between 21 to 30 Years.

(iii). Nationality :

Candidate must be a citizen of India/Subjects of Bhutan & Nepal/Tibetan refugee who came to India before the 1 January 1962/Person of India origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

UPSC ESE Admit Card 2021

The commission will upload the admit card on its website. Prelims Admit Card and UPSC ESE Mains Admit Card are expected to be released three weeks before the conduct of the exam. No admit card will be sent by post.

The Candidates should download their Admit Card by entering their registration number and password / date of birth from the UPSC’s official website. Examiner will ask for your admit card while appearing for the written test. It is a mandatory document to carry while going for a test.

Selection Process :

A written test is going to be conducted by UPSC for applying candidates. The written exam will be of 600 marks for Perlims Exam and 500 marks for Mains Exam. Those candidates who qualify in the written exam will be called for viva-voce. If the candidate who appeared for the written test and passed it will be called for a interview by the Board of competent and unbiased observers who will have before them a record of his/her career. Interview will be of 200 marks.

The object of the interview is to assess his/her suitability for the service for which he/she has competed. Candidates finally recommended by the Commission on the basis of Engineering Services Examination, 2021 shall be required to undergo medical examination.

The exam will be 2 papers of 500 marks as follows :
