The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) was established by the Indian government in 1923. It is a department of the Tamil Nadu government. It oversees regulating the recruitment of personnel for the state’s public service. This commission’s recruitments are entirely based on merit.

Qualification in Education:

A Master’s Degree in Home Science, Psychology, Sociology, Child Development, Food and Nutrition, Social Work, or Rehabilitation Science is required.

Age Limits (as of 01.07.2022):

  • SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs, and all categories of destitute widows: There is no age restriction.
  • Others [i.e., candidates who do not belong to the SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, or BCMs]: 32 years

TNPSC Exam 2022 Selection Process: Candidates will be chosen in two stages: an objective test and an oral exam. Selection will take place in two stages: (I) an examination (Computer Based Test Method) and (ii) an oral test in the form of an interview The final selection will be based on the total marks obtained by the applicants at the CBT examination and oral test taken together, subject to the reservation of appointments rule.
